Sorry, M. It was supposed to be a joke.
My insecurity about being the first to comment stems from the fact that unlike the rest of you, I'm completely untrained in literary analysis, and I often miss a lot of things that are obvious to everyone else. It makes me feel stupid. And now I feel stupid without even commenting on the book. Next time I'll just refrain altogether.
I understand that your deadlines are important, but I find that a flimsy excuse. (International travel, I think, is a better reason.) We all have deadlines, paying or not. And thanks for pointing that out, too.
