your input here!

Hey all--

As some of you may know, I am returning to the classroom RIGHT NOW. Sadly, I got rid of many of my classroom library books and am now down to these 85 books. I had over 300 at one point.

Any suggestions?

I'm building this for 6th, 7th & 8th grade; what were YOUR favorite books then?

When I was 11-13, I read a lot of Zilpha Keatley Snyder, Diana Wynne Jones and Robin McKinley. How about you?

Ditto Judy Blume and Cynthia Voigt. I also read a ton of Ellen Conford (anyone else remember her?) and some Paul Zindel. Loved the Anne of GG series, but I think that's younger (or sixth grade at the very oldest)? I'd put a ton of touchstones in your library to expose the students to different stuff, like Annie on My Mind (maybe you already have some? that link didn't work for me). When I was in sixth grade, I loved all Apple paperbacks. Remember those? Double-Dare O'Toole and The Girl With the Silver Eyes and others. I just loved them Apples.

Oh, and Sweet Valley High, of course. You can't leave out SVH.

Thanks for the feedback.

I LOVED Ellen Conford! And I do have that silver eyes book, too. Yay!

NO Sweet Valley, Eunice! I refuse! They are better than the Gossip Girls books, though. Hmm.
